A provisional residential invoice can still appear after an invoice preview, even if a client's financial assessment means they no longer owe any charges.
⚠️Important: Remove the provisional invoice before you generate invoices, so that it doesn't become a permanent invoice.
Why the provisional invoice remains
Once you raise a provisional residential invoice, changes to the client's financial assessment history don't appear on the invoice unless you perform another Invoice Preview. This is by design, so that provisional invoices can be reviewed before any invoices are generated.
An Invoice Preview doesn't delete an existing provisional invoice when a client is no longer due any charges. The provisional invoice still appears in the preview results.
If you then generate invoices, A4W creates a permanent invoice for the client based on their previous financial circumstances.
🤓Tip: Ask an authorised person to review and sign off provisional invoices before you generate invoices.
Remove the provisional invoice
If a client's financial circumstances change after an Invoice Preview but before you generate invoices, and they are no longer due any charge, perform another Invoice Preview for that single client before running an Invoice Preview for all clients again.
