Mosaic Provider Portal: The Mosaic Purchasing Data Import Job freezes on step 4

In this article, we look at an issue that the Mosaic Purchasing Data Import job may freeze at step 4 during processing, preventing the import from completing successfully.

Whenever Job Service runs the Mosaic Purchasing Data Import job, it freezes at step 4 (Dom Svc Orders - Update Existing Data v2) and requires a Job Service restart. After restarting, the job fails, but other queued jobs keep processing successfully. The next Mosaic Purchasing Data Import job then freezes at the same point.

The Mosaic Purchasing Data Import consistently includes roughly the same 20 service orders, which get skipped due to the same exception: "... orders for the same service user in the same contract must not have overlapping detail."


This issue could be caused by the database stored procedure that checks for overlapping orders, which can trigger database locking in versions before 23.1.


Please raise a new case so we can investigate this further.
