To ensure the correct layout when generating assessment letters in Word, check the 'Spacing After' setting under the Layout tab in Microsoft Word. This value should be set to 0 pt, as the document layout is designed for that format.

Next, verify that this setting is saved as the default in your Word template. To do this:

  1. Open a new blank Word document.

  2. Go to the Layout tab.

  3. Under Spacing, ensure After is set to 0 pt.

  4. Click Set as Default if it's not already applied.

This ensures that any new documents, including those generated by A4W (e.g., assessment letters), will automatically apply the correct formatting.
